The IAWCA is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the Idaho State Rifle & Pistol Association, and the Department of the Army, Director of Civilian Marksmanship program. We conduct Hi-Power rifle competitions and Junior Shooters programs in addition to our full-auto shooting activities.

The IAWCA holds monthly dinner meetings. As most of our members live in the Southwestern Idaho area, the meetings are being held near Boise. As our membership grows we will be forming Association chapters in other parts of the state.

The IAWCA conducts many shooting events during the year. This year’s planned events include competitive events for pistol-caliber, rifle-caliber, and crew-served guns, fun shoots, and DCM Hi-Power and Junior events. Details of shoots and other Association activities are published in the Rapid Fire Review, a quarterly newsletter and on our Schedule page.

Even if you don’t (yet!) own one, and you are interested in automatic weapons (either as a collector, shooter, through your profession as a law enforcement officer, dealer, or manufacturer) IAWCA membership will be valuable to you. If you have taken your time to read this, we know you are interested. Please join us.

There are six classes of membership in the Association: Owner or Associate, individual or family, Annual or life.  Qualifications for the various grades are outlined on the Membership Application form.

As IAWCA members may have valuable firearms collections which could be the targets of criminal activity, Association bylaws prohibit the organization from using the names and addresses of members for any purposes other than those of the Association, or from disclosing the information to other persons or organizations.
